Centrata Names Shailesh Rao Vice President of Products and Business Development

Addition of Former salesforce.com and Enterprise Software Industry Executive Bolsters Company's IT Service Delivery Management Leadership

REDWOOD SHORES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 9, 2005 -- Centrata, the leading provider of IT Service Catalog and Service Delivery Management solutions (SDM), today announced the appointment of Shailesh Rao as vice president of products and business development. Rao, who most recently served as director of product management for salesforce.com, will be responsible for defining Centrata's overall product strategy and delivery of industry leading products that meet the service delivery needs of Fortune 2000 companies. In addition, he will spearhead the development of Centrata's partner ecosystem and the management of business alliances.

Rao brings more than 10 years of enterprise software experience to Centrata, including a range of product management and marketing roles focused on enhancing customer service, IT service delivery and customer relationship management. He has worked with leading IT organizations worldwide on defining world-class customer service processes and implementing best practices in the areas of call center operations, service analytics and IT operational excellence.

Most recently, Rao served as director of product management for salesforce.com, where he was responsible for supportforce.com, the leading on-demand solution for customer service and IT Help Desks. Prior to salesforce.com, he co-founded a Silicon Valley-based startup that built a development and customization platform for tailoring large-scale enterprise IT applications to meet the needs of Fortune 2000 companies. Previously, Rao held senior product marketing positions at Siebel Systems, where he was responsible for product management and product marketing for Siebel Service Analytics, as well as other key offerings in the Siebel Call Center and Service Products Suite. He holds an MS degree in computer science from Old Dominion University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
