Centre de loisirs Ste-Agnes de Charlevoix Received Funding from Government of Canada for Renovated Facility Inaugurated Today

LA MALBAIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 10, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Centre de loisirs Ste-Agnès de Charlevoix received funding for the modernization and expansion of its sports chalet.

The financial support announced today was granted in the form of a $139,375 non-repayable contribution through Canada Economic Development's Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

Quick facts

  • Centre de loisirs Ste-Agnès de Charlevoix has been offering recreational services to citizens of the district since 1974.
  • The project involved improving and expanding the sports chalet built in 1988. In addition to the building's modernization, its expansion will now allow the centre to hold a variety of new activities to respond to the evolving needs of the community.
  • A portion of the new space will also be rented out by the L'Atelier de Menaud nursery school during the less busy weekday periods in order to provide a new point of service for families from Charlevoix hinterland communities like Sainte-Agnès, St-Aimé-des-Lacs, Notre-Dame-des-Monts and Clermont.

Quote
