CentriLogic Revamps International IaaS Cloud Offering

Multi-Zone International Cloud Enhances Company's Suite of Hybrid Hosting Solutions; Supports Organizations With Enterprise-Class Workloads and Geopolitically Disparate Data Requirements

TORONTO--(Marketwired - Apr 16, 2013) - CentriLogic, a trusted provider of international hybrid hosting and data center solutions, today announced its enhanced International multi-zone Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Cloud offering. The improved cloud service provides organizations with elastic and on-demand computing infrastructure featuring multiple cross-border availability zones provisioned from CentriLogic's owned and operated data centers in Canada and the United States.

The new cloud offering is an evolution of CentriLogic's Canadian-based distributed cloud computing service that was launched in early 2010. CentriLogic's new International IaaS cloud will support organizations with enterprise-class workloads while also addressing cross-border regulatory and compliance concerns arising from legislation including PIPEDA and the US Patriot Act.

CentriLogic positions itself as a provider of hybrid hosting solutions, combining elements of physical hosting, virtual hosting, and managed services to construct a specific solution driven by an organization's application and workload requirements. As more and more organizations seek a gradual migration path to the cloud, CentriLogic can facilitate this transition by providing a flexible hybrid hosting environment whereby customers can connect their current hosting infrastructure to the CentriLogic cloud within the same data center.

CentriLogic CEO Robert Offley comments, "CentriLogic's enterprise-class cloud offering places us in a unique position relative to existing webscale cloud services from providers like Amazon and Rackspace due to its hybrid hosting and cross-border capabilities. Our hybrid approach addresses requirements from new and existing customers to combine cloud services with existing physical hosting environments within our international data centers, ensuring a smooth migration of their enterprise-class workloads to the cloud."

CentriLogic's international cloud solution has been deployed on Citrix CloudPlatform, powered by Apache Cloudstack, and provides customers with on-demand, self-service computing capabilities via a custom web portal and robust web-based API. Customers can launch virtual machine instances running Windows and Linux, with the added flexibility of creating custom OS templates. Customers can also select from a list of geographically-bound availability zones located within CentriLogic's Canadian and US data centers, ensuring that their data does not reside outside of a specific privacy jurisdiction.

"Citrix CloudPlatform has enabled CentriLogic to offer its customers a robust multi-tenant cloud offering with the ability to scale to tens of thousands of physical hosts" says Peder Ulander, VP of product marketing, Cloud Platforms Group, Citrix. "The combination of CentriLogic and Citrix CloudPlatform brings a unique cross-border hybrid cloud offering to the market."

CentriLogic's Canadian and US cloud availability zones are now available to customers. The company's UK-based cloud will be publicly launched this summer, and additional zones will be opening gradually. For more information on services and pricing call 1-866-366-3678 or visit www.centrilogic.com
