Centro Brand Exchange Adds Maggie Wells as VP of Publisher Development

Former Executive at Digilant and The Economist Brings 15-Year Background in Media to Cultivate Publisher Partnerships and Enhance Data Management Offerings

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - December 03, 2013) - Centro (www.centro.net), a provider of digital media software and services, today announced the addition of Maggie Wells as Vice President of Publisher Development for the Centro Brand Exchange. With a 15-year background in digital media, Maggie was most recently an SVP at Digilant and a Global Director at The Economist. Maggie will oversee publisher partnerships for the Centro Brand Exchange and enhance its product and data offering for publishers and buyers.

A private advertising marketplace for premium publishers, the Centro Brand Exchange is recognized as a trusted ad exchange, continually generating a 95% 'ideal' rating, compared to the industry standard of 22%, as measured by standards technology provider Trust Metrics. With the majority of inventory across the web deemed unsafe for brands because of content that is user-generated, pornographic, profane, or violent, with high ad clutter, the Centro Brand Exchange gives advertisers brand safety at scale. The marketplace has almost 7,000 advertisers.

"Quality and scarcity create premium value. This is the type of marketplace that publishers want," said Maggie Wells, VP of Publisher Development for the Centro Brand Exchange. "With most exchanges and networks building their businesses based on tonnage, volume and selling everything at any price, the premium unsold space needs Centro's fresh approach."

Centro's technology streamlines guaranteed and biddable media buying between agencies and ad sellers. Through its strong relationships with major publishers, Centro created the Centro Brand Exchange, which is made up of 1,600 national premium sites offering "first look" at premium unsold inventory across desktop, tablet and mobile. Reaching more than 100 million unique users per month (comScore), the exchange is invitation-only for publishers with journalistic-quality content.

"The Centro Brand Exchange is recognized by publishers for monetizing inventory at high CPMs that exceed the industry average," said Katie Risch, SVP of Publisher Development, Centro. "To maintain our standards and ensure that we are delivering what advertisers want, Maggie will collaborate with our rapidly growing publisher base to ensure that we have first look at their highest quality inventory."
