DULLES, VA--(Marketwire - August 26, 2009) - Centuria Corporation, a leading provider of
professional and technical support services to the U.S. government, today
announced it ranked 15th on the 2009 Inc. 500, a nationwide list of the
fastest growing privately-owned companies in America. Recording nearly
6000% growth from 2005 to 2008, the company also ranked 2nd in the
Government Services Sector listing and 3rd in the Washington, DC
metropolitan region. This is the second year in a row that Centuria made
the Inc. 500 listing.
To accommodate the company's rapid expansion and as a result of its
numerous growth recognitions, Centuria has appointed two new executives;
Tim Green will join as Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Rich Levine will
take the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
"Centuria takes great pride in the fact that our successful government
implementations have led to our success," said Kevin M. Burke, President
and CEO of Centuria. "The company's recent growth awards provided the
visibility required to land our two new executives. Centuria is committed
to maintaining its high-level of customer satisfaction, which is why I am
so pleased to welcome Tim Green and Rich Levine to the team. Their decades
of experience are matched by the dedication they have demonstrated to
serving government agencies."
Joining Centuria as COO, Tim Green brings more than 20 years of experience
in the federal market. In this role, his responsibilities include driving
sustainable growth, organizational maturity, service delivery, and customer
satisfaction. Before joining Centuria, Green held senior leadership
positions at SAIC and Apogen Technologies, a QinetiQ North America Company.
At Apogen, Green led efforts to establish a new federal civilian business
unit. "Tim has an exceptional track record of leading growth and building
value within the federal market," said Burke. "His experience will be an
invaluable asset to the Centuria team."
Rich Levine joins Centuria as CFO. He has served as Senior Vice President
and CFO for defense contractors in the engineering services and IT
industry, with a history of revitalizing business departments, building new
corporate infrastructure, leading acquisitions, and creating strong
financials. Before joining Centuria, Levine served as CFO and Executive
Vice President of Coleman Research Corporation, where he guided the company
through a 15-year growth period. He was nominated by Chevy Chase Bank as
CFO of the year in 2009 and was recognized as a finalist by Smart/CEO
magazine. "Rich is the last piece of the puzzle in fully maturing
Centuria's internal processes and management platform," said Burke. "He
brings exceptional experience in merger and acquisitions, negotiations, and
contract-management."
The senior management team will continue to drive the expansion and success
of the company through organic growth and acquisition, the hiring of key
leaders, and steadfast focus on customer satisfaction and corporate
reputation. "Centuria's success depends on our people, and the commitment
they bring to the government customer," said Burke. "With recent contract
wins at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Homeland
Security, Centuria continues its legacy as a leading provider of
professional and technical services to the government market."
