Centurion Completes Initial Exploration on Banda Raya; Drilling Phase to Commence; Senior Exploration Team Appointments

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 14, 2011) -Centurion Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:CTN) ("Centurion", "the Company") is pleased to announce the completion of an initial surface geological and geochemical survey on its Banda Raya property and is preparing for a first-phase drilling program on the Geudob prospect. The Banda Raya property is located adjacent to the Miwah gold project which hosts a potential multi-million ounce discovery.

Results of geological and geochemical surveys have delineated a 5-kilometre (km) radius gold-copper prospect complex, which hosts high-sulfidation epithermal gold, porphyry gold-copper, and quartz vein-types of mineralization. Analysis of rock-chip samples from the Geudob prospect returned as high as 0.96 g/t Au with several oxidized, malachite-bearing samples grading up to 0.1% Cu. In addition, a suite of metalliferous samples distributed over a 1 km strike length contained up to 0.46 g/t Au and 0.1% Cu, and samples from a previously delineated prominent hill interpreted to be underlain by intrusions assayed up to 1.3 g/t of Au and 0.27% of Cu. Assays of grab samples and boulders believed to originate from the nearby mineralized outcrops reported gold values up to 4.46 g/t as well as copper values up to 1.38%.

Centurion has also re-established the location of a major vein system at the Keladi prospect, on which a previous explorer reported a vein having a strike length of at least 250 metres (m) and section assays up to 15.35g/t Au, 986 g/t Ag, 3.35% Cu, 14.2% Pb and 15.6% Zn. The setting of this vein is within a large circular structure that Centurion has identified as a primary exploration target. The high gold and base-metal-bearing vein is considered similar to quartz-sulphide veins typically developed around the peripheries of large porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum systems.

"Centurion's geological results have confirmed the existence of a cluster of significant gold-copper prospects outside the Miwah prospect area. Multiple exploration camps have been established and all field infrastructure is in place to commence drilling phase exploration," stated Alfred Lenarciak, Centurion Chairman.

Senior Exploration TeamAppointments

Mr. Thomas Dott, B.Sc. has recently been appointed as Project Manager to oversee all exploration and drilling work on the Banda Raya project. Mr. Dott's career, which spans 16 years, has been primarily spent on porphyry copper-gold and epithermal gold deposits including those at Frieda, Porgera, and Tolukoma in Papua New Guinea. Most recently he designed and managed the drilling program of porphyry copper-gold prospects in Aceh Province, Indonesia for East Asia Minerals Corp.

Mr. Koiti Mel, B.Sc. has been appointed as Chief Geologist and is responsible for leading field exploration activities. His 17 years of experience covers early exploration prospects to feasibility stage activities on epithermal gold and porphyry copper-gold projects, including the Porgera gold mine in Papua New Guinea.

Both Mr. Dott and Mr. Mel hold Bachelor of Science degrees majoring in Geology from the University of Papua New Guinea.

"The extensive exploration experience in porphyry copper-gold and epithermal deposits that Mr. Dott and Mr. Mel bring to Centurion will provide the current geological team with outstanding leadership in pursuing the discovery of potential deposits within the Banda Raya project," stated David Tafel, CEO.
