Century Expands Equipment Fleet at Sigma Mine

BLAINE, WASHINGTON--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 9, 2005) - Century Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:CMM) is pleased to announce the addition of three pieces of equipment at the Sigma open pit mine in Val d'Or, Quebec. The Company used proceeds from the latest financing to acquire two Komatsu 330M 100 ton trucks and one Komatsu WA600 front end loader to remove waste.

The impact on operations at the mine has been significant. The equipment has increased the 30-day rolling average from 24,300 tonnes to 31,000 tonnes of waste, a 28% increase. The ability to remove waste to expose ore in an open pit mine is a key element in the mine's operation. Century is pleased with the progress being made at the Sigma-Lamaque Complex and the addition of this equipment puts the Company closer to meeting its production projections.
