Century Iron Mines Announces Filing of First Quarter Financial Results

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2012) - Century Iron Mines Corporation (TSX:FER) ("Century" or "Century Iron" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has files its consolidated financial statements for first quarter ended June 30, 2012 and the related management's discussion and analysis on SEDAR. The Company had as at June 30, 2012 cash and cash equivalents of $54,437,941 and exploration and evaluation assets of $55,122,267. Century Iron Mines Corporation (TSX:FER) is Canada's largest holder of iron ore land claims in a public company, with interests in several properties in the Provinces of Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador.   • The Astray, Grenville, Menihek and Schefferville projects recently acquired from Altius Minerals Corp. (TSX:ALS) (100% owned by Century Iron).
