Century Mining Closes Previously Announced C$3.0 Million in Financings

BLAINE, WASHINGTON--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 22, 2005) - Century Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:CMM) announces today that it has closed its previously announced non-brokered private placements of a total of C$3.0 million in a Unit Offering and in Flow-Through shares. Details of the financings are described in a press release dated July 28, 2005.

All of the securities issued under these private placements are subject to a four-month hold period.
