Century Petroleum: Thunder Stud Operations Update

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - June 12, 2007) - Century Petroleum Corp. (OTCBB: CYPE) ("Century" or "the Company") is pleased to provide an operations update on the Thunder Stud Prospect.

The initial exploratory well in the Thunder Stud Prospect (Calcasieu Parish, LA) has reached TD of 17,905 feet. Petrophysical analysis suggests that multiple pay horizons have been encountered. The operator has run a 7-5/8" liner tied back to 10,368 feet and a wellhead has been installed in preparation for a production test later this year. Additional technical data from the well shall remain restricted until all new information is evaluated and incorporated into geological interpretation. Century will provide additional information as necessary in compliance with full disclosure requirements.

"The EW Brown number 1 is an important milestone for Century. We are optimistic with the results to date although we will require further assessment to determine the economic potential of the well and of the whole project," said James Hersch.
