Cenzic Announces Strategic Partnership With Mexico-Based Scitum

Web Application Security Solution Provider Extends Offerings to Mexico

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - February 17, 2009) - Cenzic Inc., the leading provider of Web application security assessment and risk management solutions, today announced that Scitum, a Mexican IT service provider, has added Cenzic products as part of its security division offerings. This addition will allow Scitum to distribute the Cenzic Hailstorm product suite in Mexico, allowing its customers to capitalize on the most comprehensive, robust and acknowledged Web application vulnerability assessment solutions favored by organizations in other geographies.

The Scitum Security division engages in the design, implementation and management of IT security information, offering consulting, integration and administration services. As one of the most notable security resellers in Mexico, Scitum understands the need to expand its product line, offering solutions from the world's most influential and trusted organizations, such as Cenzic, to its Mexico-based customers.

"As with the rest of the world, Web application security is a growing concern in Mexico," said Dinorah Valladares, product manager at Scitum. "It is important for us to continuously expand our security services so our customers can protect themselves from the latest Web hacking threats. Cenzic products provide the best functionality in the industry with its Stateful Assessment-based technology, which delivers highly accurate results with minimal false positives, comprehensive and easy to understand dashboard and reports, prioritization of vulnerabilities through a quantitative score HARM, unparalleled support and many other unique features. For those reasons we have decided to partner with Cenzic and be its exclusive distributor in Mexico."

The Cenzic and Scitum partnership represents Cenzic's plan to expand into the Mexican market. This partnership also depicts the growing need for premium Web application security protection, as cyberterrorsim is becoming a growing factor.

"New attacks against Web sites are discovered every day around the world, and it is important for organizations to take the proper precautions to protect their sensitive information," said John Weinschenk, Cenzic CEO. "Recent cyberterrorism attacks on various government sites as well as commercial corporations show that Web application security is a global issue and a national security problem. The opportunity to engage the Mexican market in Web application threat prevention is something we felt is integral to stopping cyberterrorism threats before they start. Having a strong partner like Scitum is important for us so we can maintain the high quality of customer relationships."
