Company Joins U.S. Chamber of Commerce National Security Task Force, TechAmerica Commission to Provide Obama Administration With Recommendations on Deployment of Cloud Computing

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - May 4, 2011) - Cenzic Inc., the leading provider of Web application security assessment and risk management solutions, today announced it has joined two prestigious national organizations to advise on critical security issues -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce National Security Task Force and the TechAmerica Commission on Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud. (CLOUD2)

As a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce National Security Task Force, Cenzic will advise on key cybersecurity policies and issues. As a member of the TechAmerica's CLOUD2 organization, the company will help to provide the Obama Administration with recommendations for how government could better deploy cloud technologies, and for public policies that will help drive U.S. innovation in the cloud and spur economic growth.

"Threats that originate on the Web can be just as dangerous as those in real life," said John Weinschenk, president and CEO at Cenzic. "With all that's at stake for businesses and government agencies, along with the growing number of threats against our infrastructure, public policy around security has never been more important. We are honored to join the National Security Task Force and CLOUD2 organizations, which unite thought leaders in the cybersecurity arena to further that goal and keep these issues top of mind for all U.S. entities. These organizations serve as an important rallying call for people to take notice and action. It's also an honor to be on the commission with the industry luminaries like Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO at; Michael Capellas, chairman and CEO at VCE; Jim Sheaffer, president of North American Public Sector at CSC; Dan Reed, Microsoft vice president of technology policy and strategy; and others."

Since October 2008, the Chamber has partnered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to increase businesses' awareness of, and investments in, cyber security from an enterprise risk management perspective. Through its national network of partners, the Chamber has coordinated outreach to business owners and operators as well as incorporated participation from regional, state, and local government security officials.

The CLOUD2 commission makes recommendations for how government should deploy cloud technologies and address policies that might hinder U.S. leadership of the cloud in the commercial space. Recommendations for government deployment will be presented to Federal Chief Information Officer Vivek Kundra.
