Ceph Hires Ross Turk as Vice President of Community Management

Community Manager of Talend, SourceForge and Alcatel-Lucent to Excite and Expand Ceph Community Participation and Adoption

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 4, 2012) - Ceph, the open source, massively scalable distributed storage system, today announced that it has hired renowned open source community manager Ross Turk as Vice President, Community. Turk will foster increased engagement with the Ceph open source community, strengthen relationships with related open source communities, and galvanize Ceph end users.

Prior to joining Ceph, Turk served as Senior Director of Communities at Talend, where he built strategic relationships with users, contributors, and open source developers. Previous to Talend, Turk built a global developer community outreach and evangelism team at Alcatel-Lucent. He also spent nearly three years as Director of Community for the iconic open source site SourceForge, which connects 46 million consumers and 3.4 million developers to more than 324,000 open source projects.
