CES to Launch Curated Video Channel Powered by

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - December 08, 2015) - This January more than 150,000 attendees will fill the city of Las Vegas for the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies -- the world renowned CES. Among the attendees more than 5,000 members of the media will be onsite gathering stories and recording video that will transmit stories from every corner of the event, and every piece of the technology world.

The sheer volume of the content created before, during and after puts CES in the upper echelons of global event coverage -- creating a unique challenge for the CES marketing and communications teams.

Today, CTA is embarking on a content curation enterprise, partnering with Waywire Networks to provide audiences around the world with quality, editorially relevant feed of video from the floor of CES and its exhibitors.

"I've always known that the power of CES was in its power to gather the world's most important and emerging players in the technology world," said Steven Rosenbaum, the author of Curation Nation (McGraw/Hill) and the CEO of "Now they are convener of the world's conversations about tech -- but the question was how can they organize the content to provide valuable context. The answer was curation, and the solution was Waywire."

Said Rosenbaum, "The folks at CTA are sharp, and early in understanding that the best way to manage media in the world where everyone has a video studio in their pocket is to embrace the emergence of the content explosion, and then provide its audience with a well-curated experience that surfaces the best and most relevant content effortlessly."

The plan is to build on the patented Waywire video curation platform the most comprehensive source of CES 2016 video, making it possible for consumers and industry participants to access the web via the web. The site is housed at

"In the world where consumers are overwhelmed with choice, we're pleased and proud that CTA chose the Waywire team to build and manage their vision of a high-quality, curated web experience," said Rosenbaum. "Now -- we're ready to go forth and Curate CES!"

The platform currently provides patented video curation and discovery of video for more than publishers, brands, and b2b sites. Partners include Silicon Valley Bank, Nasa Tech Briefs, Haymarket Media, TEDx, TimeOut, Columbia University, and CTA. The Waywire curation technology is protected under U.S. Patent # 8,117,545 and 8,812,956.
