CEZ Launches Tender for New Temelin Nuclear Reactors, an Industrial Info News Alert

GALWAY, IRELAND--(Marketwire - August 6, 2009) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Czech Republic energy group CEZ AS (PRG:BAACEZ) (Prague) has launched a competitive tender to build two new nuclear reactor units at the company's controversial Temelin nuclear power plant in southern Bohemia. The tender also includes an option for up to three other reactors that it hopes to build at other sites around Europe. Temelin is a 2,000-megawatt (MW) facility and the largest source of power in the Czech Republic. According to CEZ, the entire project is expected to take 15 years, with the administrative process expected to last up to eight years.
