CF-18 Flyby at Toronto FC Game Saturday

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 22, 2012) - As part of the club's Canadian Forces Appreciation event, up to two Canadian Forces CF-18 fighter jets will soar over BMO Field in Toronto at the start of the Toronto FC's game Saturday afternoon against the New England Revolution.

The flyby will take place shortly after 4:30 p.m. on June 23. The jets will conduct their flyby at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest point of the stadium before resuming a higher flying altitude for the return to home base at 3 Wing Bagotville, Quebec.

Flybys by CF aircraft are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times.

Canada's Air Force is proud to share in your community events with flybys such as this, which allow us to demonstrate to Canadians the skills we have honed with the effective aircraft entrusted to us.

To submit a request for a flyby, event organizers can go to www.airshows.forces.gc.ca. Please note the deadline for submissions is normally 90 days in advance.
