CFI launches the 2009 Science Writing Award

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 14, 2009) - The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) is pleased to announce the 2009 edition of its Science Writing Award. The deadline for submission is May 29, 2009.

Now in its fifth year, this award honours the writer of an outstanding print story that contributes to an increased awareness and understanding of science in Canada.

"The CFI is proud to host this competition," says Eliot Philipson, President and CEO of the CFI. "It honours the talented writers who help Canadians understand the complex world of science."

The $5,000 Science Writing Award is one of the most prestigious awards of its kind in Canada, generating quality entries from writers across the country.
