CFIA: Allergy Alert-Undeclared Egg, Fish, Milk, Sesame, Soy and Wheat in Certain Rice Cracker Products Imported From Japan

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to egg, fish, milk, sesame, soy and wheat proteins not to consume certain rice cracker products manufactured in Japan by Sanko-Seiko. The affected products contain egg, fish, milk, sesame, soy and wheat which are not declared on the label.

The affected products have been distributed in British Columbia. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to egg, fish, milk, sesame, soy and wheat proteins.

The importer, NTC Industrial Co. Inc, Richmond, British Columbia , is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
