CFIA: Expanded Allergy Alert-Undeclared Egg, Milk, Soy and Anchovy in Certain Sandwich Factory and Sub Delicious Brands of Sandwich Products

The previous public warning, issued on March 1, 2007, has been expanded to include new products, distribution, and allergen information.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to egg, milk, fish and soy proteins not to consume the Sandwich Factory and Sub Delicious brands products described below. The affected products contain egg, milk, soy, and anchovy which are not declared on the label.

The affected products have been distributed in the Atlantic provinces.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to egg, milk, fish and soy proteins.

The manufacturer, Atlantic Prepared Foods Limited, Alberton, Prince Edward Island, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
