CFLPA Teams With Plastic Now, Mint and Peoples Trust: Star Quarterbacks to Be Featured on Prepaid MasterCard Cards

TORONTO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 24, 2005 -- Plastic Now, Mint Inc., a subsidiary of Mint Technology Corp. (TSX-V: MIT), and Peoples Trust announced today that they will partner with the Canadian Football League Players' Association to introduce the first co-branded, prepaid MasterCard card to feature pro athletes in Canada.

Offering football fans the opportunity to carry their favorite quarterbacks in their wallets and to support the players, the CFLPA will initially launch the first of eight prepaid MasterCard cards in their "Signature Series" featuring the image and "autograph" of a star quarterback. Fans will further benefit by using the CFLPA card program to accumulate points for every net retail dollar they spend. Points can be redeemed toward an incredible range of rewards, including:

* Authentic autographed jerseys, helmets and official CFLA Pro Players footballs

* Experiences with favourite players and contests

Mint will provide Plastic Now with a CFLPA co-branded, prepaid MasterCard program equipped with complete services and features. Peoples Trust of Vancouver will be responsible for card issuance under its agency agreement with HorizonPlus Card Services Limited Partnership.

The prepaid and reloadable MasterCard card can be used for purchases at any of the millions of global locations where MasterCard is accepted. Prepaid cardholders simply load their account with monetary value, and as purchases are made, funds are debited from the account. The account can be topped up at any time.
