CGS to sponsor 6th annual "Spin for Hunger" fundraiser

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 21, 2016) -  CGS, a global provider of business applications, enterprise learning and outsourcing services, announced today its sponsorship of the 6th annual Spin for Hunger fundraiser, benefiting St Francis Food Pantries and Shelters. In partnership with SoulCycle, a fitness company headquartered in New York City, the event will take place on Sunday, December 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the 126 Leroy Street location.

CGS is a platinum sponsor for this year's Spin for Hunger, an indoor cycling event that combines fun and exercise while raising funds and awareness for the seniors, children, men and women of the New York area who hunger and thirst physically as well as emotionally. The event benefits more than 40 non-profit food pantries, soup kitchens, safe havens, drop-in centers and shelters supported by St. Francis Food Pantries & Shelters throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey.

"We are excited to participate in this event and charity," said CGS senior vice president, human resources, Tali Rabin. "As a company founded in New York City more than three decades ago, we are proud to be a part of and give back to our community. CGS is committed to partnering with charitable organizations in all of the areas in which we are located throughout the world. Programs such as Spin for Hunger are even more important during the holiday season and as winter approaches."

This annual event is co-chaired by CGS employee Dana Trulis and it has raised more than $60,000 annually in the past. All funds raised will benefit St. Francis Food Pantries & Shelters, feeding clothing and counseling over 10,000 families in the New York area serving over 1.5 million meals a year.
