SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 24, 2007 -- Chameleon Technologies (, a technical staffing and professional services company, was named a finalist today in four categories in the 3rd annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. These include Best Entrepreneur - Service Businesses up to 100 employees; Best Overall Company of the Year - Service Businesses up to 100 employees; Employer of the Year; and Community Involvement Program of the Year.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run -- worldwide. The Steve Awards have been hailed as "the business world's own Oscars." (New York Post, April 27, 2005).

"This is a tremendous acknowledgement," said Acton. "We strive to be the best company possible -- for our clients, our employees and ourselves. Recognition of this mission affirms our success and helps to cement our future efforts as a top notch company to work for and do business with."

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word "crowned," winners will be announced during a gala event in New York in March. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries are expected to attend.

Co-founding Chameleon Technologies with business partner Mike Luckenbaugh, Melissa Acton leveraged her long-time experience in the staffing industry to create a firm that embodied the qualities lacking in other companies. The duo has built a company that is known for 1:1 client and employee attention, with an emphasis on personal attention and recognition. The company has weathered tough economic times to build a profitable business that highlights workplace diversity, community activism and long-term job satisfaction and success.
