Champion Energy Services Ranks Highest in Customer Satisfaction in Texas

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - August 12, 2015) - Champion Energy Services, one of the fastest-growing retail electricity providers in the US, ranks highest in customer satisfaction among Texas residential retail electricity providers (REPs), according to the J.D. Power 2015 Electric Provider Retail Customer Satisfaction Study(SM) released today. This is the fifth time Champion Energy has received the top ranking, including the highest rankings from 2010 to 2013.

The J.D. Power study, conducted by surveying customers throughout the state, measures customer satisfaction with REPs across six factors: enrollment/renewal, billing & payment, price, communications, corporate citizenship and customer service. Champion Energy's overall satisfaction score of 766 is the highest overall score of any ranked REP since the study began.

As part of its "No Fine Print" campaign, Champion Energy was one of the first REPs to cut fine print from its residential contracts. "We compared contracts from around the industry and realized that buying electricity had become complicated," said Rebecca Bridges, director of residential marketing at Champion Energy. "We decided to simplify it by focusing on straightforward pricing; without fees for calling customer service, receiving or paying your bill a certain way, or using less electricity. Our belief is that people should be able to estimate their bill before we send it."
