Changed Number of Shares and Votes in SEMAFO

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - March 31, 2015) - SEMAFO (TSX:SMF)(OMX:SMF)

In March, the number of shares in SEMAFO increased by 16,122,606 common shares, corresponding to 16,122,606 votes. The increase in the number of shares and votes results from a share issue related to the recently announced bought deal private placement and long-term debt facility, in addition to the exercise of options.

As of March 31, 2015, the total number of shares in the Corporation amounts to 294,086,038 and the total number of votes totals 294,086,038. The Corporation's share capital as of March 31, 2015 amounts to approximately SEK 7,961,627,992.
