Chanticleer Holdings Announces Grand Opening of Hooters Restaurant in Port Elizabeth, South Africa

CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwired - August 06, 2015) - Chanticleer Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOTR) (Chanticleer Holdings, or the "Company"), owner and operater of multiple restaurant brands internationally and domestically, today announced the grand opening of its new Hooters restaurant in Port Elizabeth, South Africa on August 13, 2015. The restaurant, which is the Company's sixth Hooters in South Africa, is located in the Walmer section of Port Elizabeth.

Walmer is known as the cosmopolitan center of Port Elizabeth, full of trendy bars, restaurants, a movie theater and local businesses with upmarket residential areas surrounding the shopping district. The restaurant sits on the corner of one of the busiest intersections in the heart of Port Elizabeth and the Company expects it will attract an optimal blend of business and residential patrons. The prime stand-alone building, located on 31,000 square feet of land, was purchased by Chanticleer Holdings in 2014 as the Company's first real estate purchase.

"We are most excited for the opening of this location. As our biggest financial commitment in South Africa to date, the restaurant seats 180, including a state-of-the-art raised patio that accommodates 70 diners, with stacking glass doors which can be opened during the warmer months. Our HDTV package incorporates 5 extra-large 75" screens throughout the restaurant; a first for this sports enthusiastic city," commented Darren Smith, CFO of Hooters South Africa.

"We are thrilled to open our Port Elizabeth location in this growing, upscale city. South Africa is a great international market for world class brands such as Hooters and we look forward to introducing our other restaurant brands as we expand Chanticleer's footprint to additional regions of South Africa and worldwide," commented Mike Pruitt, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
