PRINCETON, NJ--(Marketwire - May 16, 2012) - Charles Kallenbach, general counsel and chief legal officer of Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE: HPY), one of the nation's largest processors, has been named a finalist in the 2012 NJBIZ General Counsel of the Year Awards program in the Public Company Over $1 Billion category.

Mr. Kallenbach is being honored for his work overseeing Heartland's internal and external legal teams, as well as his critical efforts to help navigate Heartland through claims and proceedings resulting from a high-profile processing system intrusion that was announced in January 2009.
