Charleston Historic District Hotel Welcomes Seasoned Sales Leader


CHARLESTON, SC--(Marketwire - May 11, 2011) - Christy Loftin has recently joined the Noble Investment Group team as a Sales Manager for the newly renovated Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Historic District. Recently re-opened, the Charleston downtown hotel is just steps from King Street boutique shopping, SPAWAR, Boeing and the Charleston Joint Base.

With an extensive background in both hospitality and event management she most recently served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Planters Inn, Relais & Chateaux and Peninsula Grill. Previously she was the Associate Director of Special Events at Charleston Place Hotel. Christy will be responsible for group sales in the newly transformed Courtyard which features 176 guest rooms, state of the art meeting space and Mariott's largest meeting facility among Charleston hotels in the Historic District.

Christy has a rich history in the Charleston business community having served on the Community Advisory Council for Hollings Cancer Center and the advisory council for Trident Technical College Hospitality and Tourism program. Ms. Loftin is a past president of the National Association of Catering Executives, Charleston Chapter. She is an active member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church and is active in USTA league tennis.
