Chartwell Announces Senior Management Changes

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2011) - Chartwell Seniors Housing Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:CSH.UN)announced today that Mr. Terry Whalen, Chief Investment Officer, will be leaving Chartwell effective September 2, 2011 to pursue other interests. His responsibilities for acquisitions, divestitures, development and asset management will be assumed by Vlad Volodarski, Chief Financial Officer.

Chartwell is a real estate investment trust which indirectly owns and operates a complete range of seniors housing communities from independent supportive living ("ISL") through assisted living ("AL") to long-term care ("LTC").
