Chartwell Releases Flash 32 Card Poker Software

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 19, 2006) - Chartwell Technology Inc. (TSX:CWH), a leading provider of gaming software systems to the online and remote gaming industry is pleased to announce the completion and release of its popular European-style 32 Card Poker product in Flash technology. This new non-downloadable poker client offers immediate benefits to Chartwell customers and their player base and enhances the marketability of Chartwell's poker community.

To the player, the Flash product has all the full features that the C++ client offers plus more. Quick access to their account and game play from any internet browser that is available. The player is not reliant on a machine where software is downloaded, and affords maximum portability. Flash also gives the Mac players the opportunity to participate. For the operator, the new Flash product allows them to broaden their marketing campaign and reach, and to add players to their database and poker room. This opens up, for the operator, a larger percentage of what can be considered a browser-based market.

Chartwell's Flash based Texas Hold'em product is due to be released Q1, 2007 with some additional and innovative new European-style poker products that will also be part of this release.

Alongside this new Flash product release, Chartwell is pleased to announce that one of its long-standing customers, Coral Eurobet, has agreed to license the Flash, 32 Card Poker product and join Chartwell's growing poker community, "Pokernexus". This will add to the overall player liquidity numbers of the poker community and bring the total number of participants in the community to twenty-one.

"Having partnered with Chartwell for almost 5 years it was an easy decision to add their latest offering '32 Card Poker' to our portfolio. The game has added an extra dimension to our suite of games and has proven popular with a wide section of our player base." comments Dan Phillips, Head of E-Commerce Gaming, Gala Coral Group.
