Chartwell Starts 2011 With an All-Slots Product Release Including Ground Breaking New Features

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 17, 2011) - Chartwell Technology Inc. (TSX:CWH) and its subsidiary, Chartwell Games (International) Ltd. ("Chartwell"), a leading provider of games, gaming systems and platform for the regulated online casino gaming industry is excited to announce that our latest product release is now available.

As a follow up to our comprehensive and well-received 2010 series of releases, this product release – comprised of Chartwell's own proprietary games and one hand-picked third party title –includes four exciting new slots and ground-breaking new features.

Chartwell's one-of-a kind Bars and Bells™ not only features favourite reel symbols from classic slot games, it also has the groundbreaking Streak Breaker™ feature. With the optional Streak Breaker™ bet, players bet and win every time they have five consecutive zero spins; thereby maintaining a positive experience during game play. It's unique within the industry and has been extremely well-received in player focus group studies.

In the atmospheric Draco's Fire™ slot, players take on a medieval dragon in the exciting free spin bonus, which features stacked holding wilds.

Sinful Spins™ introduces players to "Lola", the she-devil gatekeeper of the exciting player-controlled bonus feature. Great sound design is a big component of this slot and the music accentuates Lola's character within the game.

Rounding out the games in this release is the hand-picked third party slot, Angel's Touch™. "Bettie", the angel, pays homage to the classic 40's pinup girl and features an engaging and interactive pick-a-prize bonus round.

Equally newsworthy, this product release is the launch pad for Chartwell's new Rapid Game Deployment architecture, which will allow clients to deploy Chartwell online casino games as soon as they are made available – with no downtime.

Chartwell's powerful back office solution has also been redesigned. CyberBoss 5 includes a new user interface, enhanced usability, improved speed of reporting and a modular deployment model. CyberBoss 5 delivers a high degree of flexibility and control over the operation and promotion of operators' sites.

"We are extremely excited to start 2011 with such a strong release of exciting and innovative slot games," states Dan Phillips, CEO, Chartwell Games (International) Ltd. "Combined with our new Rapid Games Deployment and our new CyberBoss 5 back office system, this product release is another example of our continued commitment to excellence in online casino. It is a terrific pre-cursor to this year's product road map. 2011 will be an exciting year for Chartwell."
