The Chemical Industry Expects Plant Closures to Remain Constant for U.S. and Canadian Markets During Remainder of the Year

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - September 19, 2007) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- As the third quarter of 2007 comes to an end, a steady number of plants, an average of 10 plants per quarter, in the Chemical Processing Industry (CPI) have permanently ceased manufacturing and closed their doors. At least seven plants have already been identified with plans of closing during the fourth quarter of this year equaling the loss of another estimated 664 jobs in the CPI.
