Chemical Producers on the U.S. West Coast Expect an Increase in Spending for 2011, an Industrial Info News Alert

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - January 20, 2011) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Chemical Processing Industry (CPI) plant owners on the West Coast, including those in Washington, Oregon and California, witnessed a substantial increase in overall CPI spending during 2010. This increase came in spite of producers battling the first half of the year in the midst of a recession, state governments swimming in financial troubles, and little optimism for improvement in the short term.

This year's total CPI spending in the region is forecast to exceed $325 million, marking another year of increased spending. Some of the larger projects expected to begin this year include plans by HPC Industries LLC (Los Angeles, California), Praxair Incorporated  (NYSE:PX) (Danbury, Connecticut) and Linde Gas North America LLC (Murray Hill, New Jersey).
