WESTBURY, NY--(Marketwired - September 13, 2016) - Today, Spectronics Corporation and ChemPoint.com EMEA BV are announcing the beginning of a strategic partnership for distribution of their SPECTROLINE WATER-GLO®, (click for product flyer) the company's premier fluorescent leak detection dye for water/water-glycol based systems. The terms of the agreement grant ChemPoint the exclusive right to distribute and market WATER-GLO in Europe, the Middle-East and Africa.
Spectronics is the world's leading manufacturer of ultraviolet equipment and fluorescent materials.
ChemPoint, a subsidiary of Univar Inc. (NYSE: UNVR), is a global leader in the marketing, sales, and distribution of specialty and fine chemicals. ChemPoint's MRO portfolio includes a wide range of organic synthetic, silicone and glycol-based heat transfer fluids, which are available in a variety of concentrate and blend options.
"The expansion of our MRO portfolio with Spectronics on SPECTROLINE WATER-GLO leak detection dyes is another strong testament to ChemPoint's capabilities and reach," said Dennis Schmeits, EMEA Regional Business Director. "We are excited to now also offer these innovative products, coupled with ChemPoint's tailored services and technical support, to all of our glycol-based heat transfer fluids customers."
WATER-GLO® (Click for product video) fluorescent dyes reveal all leaks in static and circulating water systems, boilers, storage tanks and other high-volume containers. The Water-Glo family of dyes are used to detect leaks in piping, valves, condensers, sprinkler system pumps, seams, welds and fittings. Wherever the water escapes, so does the dye, which remains at the site of all leaks. When the system is scanned with a high-intensity ultraviolet or violet light lamp, the dye glows brightly to pinpoint the precise location of every leak.
"We've been considering a strong global partnership to help us leverage our WATER-GLO brand internationally," said Matt Roesser Spectronics' International Sales Manager. "ChemPoint is that partner. They have a great breadth and depth of market knowledge. We're excited about matching our brand with their resources and strategies."
