CHEN PR Signs on as Event Supporter for Xconomy's Battle of the Tech Bands 3

Third Annual Fundraiser on February 4 Rocks Out in Support of Local Charities

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - January 28, 2010) - CHEN PR has joined on as an event supporter for what is quickly establishing itself as the American Idol of technology industry entertainment events -- Xconomy's "Battle of the Tech Bands 3: Seattle vs. Boston." The event will be held on Thursday, February 4 at The Middle East in Cambridge, with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. All net proceeds will be donated to Science Club for Girls and Year Up Boston.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 at the door and can be purchased here.

This year's Battle will feature musicians from some of New England's most innovative companies -- and those from the Pacific Northwest, thanks to the addition of two top bands from Xconomy's battle in Seattle last summer -- as they go head to head for rock and roll supremacy. Fans in attendance will decide which band -- and which coast -- is best.

Bands competing include:

-- Dirty Truckers - representing American Well; formerly representing
    Sophos
-- Deadbeat Darling - representing Pictela; formerly representing Akamai
-- McAlister Drive - formerly representing Linedata Services
-- Lions Ambition - representing Boeing
-- Juda's Wake - representing Microsoft
