CHESAPEAKE BEACH, MD--(Marketwired - August 26, 2014) - The Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa today announces plans for its annual Labor Day Weekend Farewell to Summer Celebration which will incorporate their new beachfront venue into the six-day event. Located on the Chesapeake Bay, the Resort's new beachfront has been enhanced with tons of beautiful white sand, new beach lounge furniture and a dance floor on the beach. The new area is situated between the Boardwalk Café and the Band Shell performance stage to provide more beach area for hotel guests to enjoy during their stay and for outdoor dancing and dining.
Many events during the Resort's Labor Day Weekend Farewell to Summer Celebration will occur in the new venue area. The entire event occurs over Labor Day weekend, and will include daily live music with dancing on the beach, dining specials in all three of the Resort's waterfront restaurants, gaming specials plus indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family. Visitors to the Resort for the event can come for a day or take advantage of the special room rates offered to stay overnight. "We have been hard at work to improve our beach area to be able to provide more waterfront activities for our guests," says Resort Vice President Wesley Donovan. "We are excited to debut the new venue during our upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend celebration."
The Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa features a hotel and full service spa located right on the Chesapeake Bay, three waterfront restaurants, meeting rooms, waterfront ballrooms, beautiful bay views and now the new beach front. The Resort is an ideal location for waterfront weddings, corporate events and retreats. Year-round amusements at the Resort include bingo, gaming, charter fishing and other water sports, special weekend packages for all ages and beach side musical entertainment. Famous for being the Charter Fishing Capital of Maryland since 1946, the Resort also boasts two marinas, The Rod `N' Reel Dock and Marina West.
Still to come, the new beach area will include a new outdoor waterfront wedding ceremony location for couples who want to get married right at the water's edge. The Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa is a very popular destination location for waterfront weddings and the need for more venue space for celebrations of this type continues to grow. "We get a lot of requests from couples who want to get married `with their toes in the sand' and now we can look forward to accommodating them," says Director of Sales Lori Kirby-Medlin.
