Chevrolet-Buick-Cadillac Cars Build Momentum as Combined Sales Decline

OSHAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 1, 2011) - While Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac dealers reported slower sales in February, down 5.7 percent, car sales continue to grow. Led by the Canadian Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Cruze, February car sales increased 13 percent for Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac.

"Industry sales were softer in February, but we are well-positioned to achieve our targets for profitable and sustainable growth in 2011," said Marc Comeau, vice president of sales, service and marketing at GM of Canada. "Our award-winning vehicles like the Chevrolet Cruze, Buick Regal and Cadillac SRX demonstrate our ability to win new customers, and we're confident that our new products launching later this year, including Chevrolet Orlando, Chevrolet Volt, Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, will build on this momentum."
