OSHAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 3, 2012) - The Cadillac ATS, recently named the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada's Best New Luxury Car for 2013, and the Canadian-built XTS, are proving that Cadillac is earning its reputation as the luxury standard of the world. In November, the ATS and XTS drove a 15 per cent increase in Cadillac car sales. Overall, Cadillac's sales were up 10 per cent for the month. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac delivered 17,372 vehicles in November 2012.
"Canadians continue to embrace our smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles," said Marc Comeau, vice-president of sales, service and marketing at GM of Canada. "Our passenger car sales had nearly a 10 per cent increase for the month, largely driven by the Chevrolet Sonic, Cruze and Malibu, along with the all new Buick Verano."
GM's combined compact MPV and crossovers had a sales increase of 20 per cent led by the Chevrolet Orlando and GMC Terrain. The Orlando is MOTORING 2012's "MPV of the Year."
November 2012 Key Facts and Brand Results
- Total Chevrolet car sales are up 5 per cent for the month
- Total Buick sales were up 21 per cent for the month led by strong sales of the Verano, Buick's compact luxury sedan
- GMC Terrain sales were up 22 per cent for the month
- Cadillac SRX sales were up 23 per cent for the month
Total GM sales were down 3.2 per cent compared to last November.
