CHG Healthcare Services Ranks No. 7 on Computerworld's 2015 List of 100 Best Places to Work in Information Technology

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - June 24, 2015) - CHG Healthcare Services was named one of the Best Places to Work in IT by IDG's Computerworld, ranking seventh in the midsize category. The recognition is given to organizations that challenge their IT staffs and provide great benefits and compensation. CHG has appeared on the list each of the past four years.

CHG offers its people a number of unique benefits, including:

  • Volunteer Time Off (VTO): Employees receive eight hours of paid time off each year to volunteer at the nonprofit program of their choice. In 2014, CHG employees used their VTO to give more than 3,700 hours of service.
  • Free Onsite Health Clinics: Employees and their families receive free onsite healthcare, including primary care services, health coaching, and disease management.
  • Employee Compassion Fund: Funded by employees, for employees, the Employee Compassion Fund provides tax-free financial grants to help employees facing financial hardship.
  • Employee Network Groups: Employees are welcome to use company resources, as well as $500 per year, to form clubs or groups based on their personal interests. More than 800 employees participate in a CHG network, ranging from an LGBT Pride group to a Conquering Cancer club.
  • Pet insurance: Because pets are family, too, CHG offers pet insurance to help employees save money on pet medical bills.

"We offer a lot of great benefits to make sure our employees are taken care of," says Michael Peterson, CHG's chief information officer. "But what really sets us apart is our culture. CHG is a great place to work because our people take care of each other. They care about what they do and have a really good time doing it."

CHG was first recognized by Computerworld in 2012, debuting at No. 100 on the list. CHG quickly jumped to No. 29 in 2013 and was ranked No. 6 in 2014.

"The 100 organizations on Computerworld's 2015 Best Places to Work in IT list realize that attracting and retaining a highly-skilled technology workforce leads to competitive advantage," says Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. "In a tight market for tech talent, these outstanding employers attract the best and brightest IT pros with generous salaries and top-drawer benefits, then deepen their teams' engagement with challenging, business-critical projects built around cutting-edge technologies.
