Chicago Custom Publishing Agency Named One of Best Companies to Work For

Imagination Publishing Excels in Employee Survey, Workplace Best Practices

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - October 2, 2009) - Imagination, a custom publishing agency, recently was named one of the "Best Magazine Publishing Companies to Work for 2009." The annual list of "Best Magazine Companies" was created by Publishing Executive magazine and Best Companies Group. The complete list -- along with profiles of each company's benefits package and corporate policies -- is published in the November issue of Publishing Executive magazine.

Jim Meyers, president of Imagination, says the recognition is a direct result the rigorous and strategic hiring practices implemented in the past few years. "Over the years, we've evolved from a small custom publishing agency to a custom media expert with B2B and B2C clients across the country. Hiring the highest caliber custom media and marketing professionals is one of our highest priorities."

Imagination's Vice President of Talent, Andrea Scott, coordinated the required anonymous employee survey. "Our employees are so enthusiastic about their careers and their clients, and that enthusiasm came through in the survey," Scott says. "We're very proud of the work we do for our clients, and that makes Imagination a great place to work."

Companies from across the country entered the two-part survey process to determine the "Best Magazine Publishing Companies to Work For." The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
