Chicago Plastic Surgeons Attend Baker Gordon Symposium to Improve Patient Care

Drs. Brian Braithwaite and Lorri Cobbins Reflect on Key Aesthetic Concepts and Techniques They Took Away From the Recent Baker Gordon Symposium

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Mar 12, 2014) -  Dr. Brian Braithwaite and Dr. Lorri Cobbins of The Aesthetic Institute of Chicago have recently returned from the 48th Annual Baker Gordon Educational Symposium held in Miami, FL. While at the event, the two Chicago plastic surgeons attended several aesthetic surgery seminars in an effort to expand their expertise regarding some of the latest developments and most effective techniques their field has to offer. Some notable courses at which they were in attendance included:

  • Restoring the Abdominal Silhouette
  • Safety and Finesse in Circumferential Liposuction
  • Periorbital Rejuvenation with Injectable Fillers
  • Facelift/Necklift with Fat Transfer
  • Secondary Breast Augmentation

In reference to what he found to be the most interesting concept discussed at the conference, Dr. Braithwaite said: "I found the lectures and videos that pertained to tear trough and periorbital rejuvenation to be the most intriguing and instructional. Since these areas are so difficult to treat, these educational events were the most helpful and memorable for me."

When asked a similar question, Dr. Cobbins answered: "Examining the technical nuances and concepts of using fat in facial and breast rejuvenation is always an interesting subject for me. There are always differing opinions amongst the panelists as well as a plethora of information to be obtained. Audience members are also able to participate in the discussion, and one always leaves having learned something from the discussion."

Regarding their experience as a whole, Drs. Braithwaite and Cobbins say they enjoyed sharing ideas and information with other plastic surgeons from all across the country, and they look forward to implementing what they learned into their own practice to continue providing patients with the highest level of aesthetic care available.
