Chicago Summerfest Serves Up Lincoln Park's Best

Planned Property Management Invites Neighborhood Residents, Employees to Come Together for Food, Shopping and Music

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Oct 7, 2014) -  Lincoln Park-area residents were invited to experience the best food, shopping and music this historic neighborhood has to offer at the annual Chicago Summerfest June 28-29.

From noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, the Lincoln Park area on Clark Street at Armitage hosted the work of local merchants and artisans, a sampling of cuisine from area restaurants, and more than 20 hours of live music by some of the city's most beloved cover bands. A suggested donation of $5 benefited the Mid-North Association, a nonprofit organization established by Lincoln Park residents in 1950 to protect and preserve the neighborhood's character.

"Chicago Summerfest is one of the city's finest community gatherings," said Jasko Omervic of Planned Property Management, which owns and manages a number of residential rentals in the Lincoln Park area. "We encourage residents and employees at our 2727 N. Clark building and other local properties to get together and enjoy some great food, shopping and music."

Summerfest features dozens of vendor booths that offer a variety of arts, crafts, jewelry and food against the scenic backdrop of Lincoln Park. Between Summerfest events, guests may wish to wander through the charming, architecturally rich Lincoln Park district and enjoy other local attractions that include the Lincoln Park Zoo and the Chicago History Museum.
