Chief Executive Air Introduces Program to Reduce Carbon Footprint

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 2, 2008) - Chief Executive Air (www.chiefexecair.com), the market leader in providing customized worldwide private jet charter services, today announced a partnership with TerraPass®, a leading retailer of carbon offsets and energy efficiency products, to reduce its carbon footprint and fund clean energy projects that balance out the impact generated from greenhouse gas emissions.

"Chief Executive Air is a mission-driven business," said Chief Executive Air CEO Jeffrey Menaged. "Unlike other private jet companies, we have a social goal -- to reduce the greatest amount of carbon emissions we can."

We all impact the environment in many ways, and air travel is no exception. Flights are a major source of the greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming. A two-hour flight burns approximately 600 gallons of fuel, the same amount an average person uses in a year driving a car.

The best way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is to use less energy; however, air travel is one of the hardest activities to give up. When you have to fly, Chief Executive Air provides the opportunity to balance any flight by purchasing verified carbon reductions in support of clean energy projects including: wind power; farm power which produces clean electricity from animal waste; and landfill gas capture. In addition, all emissions reductions come from projects sourced in the U.S., and take place in the same year that they are purchased.

"Air travel is responsible for three percent of worldwide carbon dioxide emissions and growing," added Menaged. "It is crucial that we offer our customers this opt-in program so together we can play an active role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions."

Chief Executive Air offers thee classes of jet aircraft: light, mid-size and full-size. The hourly amount of greenhouse gas reductions depend on jet class. Emissions rates for the various jet sizes are based on industry averages for aircraft type, as well as greenhouse gas emission protocols developed by the World Resource Institute.
