Chieftain Metals Appoints Timothy Lee as Director, Investor Relations

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 24, 2012) - Chieftain Metals Inc. ("Chieftain" or the "Company") (TSX:CFB) is pleased to announce that the Company has appointed Mr. Timothy Lee as Director, Investor Relations. Mr. Lee will be based in the Company's Toronto office, with primary focus on creating a greater awareness of Chieftain within the Canadian and global investment communities.

In addition to over seven years as a technical specialist in the geosciences, Mr. Lee has approximately five years as a mining equity research analyst with Dundee Securities, Salman Partners and NCP Northland covering junior precious and base metals companies. Mr. Lee earned a BA degree in Geology from Macalester College, an MS degree in Geology from the University of Wisconsin, and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
