Children's Technology Workshop announces Vancouver Regional Director

Over 5000 children will participate in Children's Technology Workshops this summer. Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, Education Editor, Lifestyle Editor, News Editor VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 16, 2005) - Darryl Reiter, President of Children's Technology Workshop is pleased to announce Jean-Charles Freimuller as the new Regional Director for Vancouver, British Columbia. This new franchise will offer the same innovative engineering and technology programs to pre-school and elementary school children that have been offered across Canada, the United States and in Hong Kong since 1999.
"Jean-Charles is a multi-talented, highly sophisticated executive with over 20 years as a C-level officer in global companies", says Darryl Reiter, President of Children's Technology Workshop. "He's hired a terrific, talented group of young staff to deliver the Children's Technology Workshop programs to Vancouver".
As President and CEO of AGF-Allianz, South America, Freimuller managed the Insurance and Financial Services Group's international operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia and Venezuela. He joins a growing number of professionals who are questioning their priorities and deciding that a mid-life career change might be in order.
"After almost 20 years at the helm of large corporations on 3 continents, I decided a year ago that I would dedicate my experience and work to education. As a father of 4 children I could witness first hand how today's children are massive consumers of technology", says Jean-Charles. "But most of the time they are just passive users. Where do they have the opportunity to learn, to be creative with technology, to acquire the confidence to explore, to invent and create using their imagination and applying the latest technology available? That is exactly the gap filled by Children's Technology Workshop".
"When I met Darryl Reiter and his absolutely stunning crew of passionate and highly qualified professionals, I immediately knew that I had found the Company I was looking for. My family fell in love with Vancouver years ago and we always dreamed of living in beautiful BC. Our dreams are now fulfilled in every aspect", concludes Jean-Charles.
Children's Technology Workshop programs for children from junior kindergarten to Grade 8 run year round with day camps, after-school workshops, in-class seminars and parties. Programs are designed to supplement the mandated provincial curriculum guidelines by age and allow children to customize their experience to their interest and skill level.
