Chili Cook-Off Supports the Food Bank!

What: In support of the Calgary Food Bank, Chicago Chophouse is hosting their 1st annual Chili Cook-Off, during the Put the Boots to Hunger campaign.

When: Friday July, 8, 2011

11:00am to 2:00pm

Where: Chicago Chophouse

604-8th Ave SW

Why: Some of Calgary's most talented chefs are pitting their best chili recipes against one another. Chefs are competing for:

  • Most Original Chili
  • Best Overall Chili
  • Most Flavourful Chili

Confirmed chefs include:

  • Kevin Cooper - Executive Chef, Chicago Chophouse
  • Xavier Lacaze - Executive Chef, Muse Restaurant
  • Rusty - Executive Chef, Metropolitan Grill
  • Nicolas Desinai - Chef, Bistro Provence
  • Mike Buffet - Chef, Calgary Petroleum Club
  • Chris Spentz - Corporate Food Chef, Sysco Food Services of Calgary

How: $20 at the door gains you entry to the Cook-Off, yummy samples, and the chance to vote for your favourite chili. All proceeds go to Put the Boots to Hunger in support of the Calgary Food Bank.

And to wash it all down … $1 from every Chicago Chophouse Signature 2011 Stampede Caesar sold on this day will go to Put the Boots to Hunger.
