CHILI U.S.A. and CHILI GmbH Enhanced Partnership Expands Telemedicine Service to U.S. Healthcare Providers

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 28, 2007) - With a renewed agreement CHILI GmbH and CHILI U.S.A. will continue to serve as the U.S. support and distribution center for CHILI PACS radiology software products and related services.

CHILI GmbH, based in Heidelberg Germany, was founded in 1996 by a group of pioneers in the digital radiology field. The CHILI platform, part of a complete telemedicine program, was one of the first electronic medical imaging systems developed. It now represents one of the most comprehensive and efficient picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) in the world. The CHILI software suite is IHE compliant and includes an ergonomically designed diagnostic workstation client, a web-enabled delivery engine for clinical archive access, and a fully integrated tele-radiology system. Modules for extending the platform include enterprise storage management interfaces and diagnostic enhancements such as three dimensional rendering and multi-planar image reconstruction.

CHILI U.S.A., as the sole U.S. distributor and supporter of CHILI, is a privately held IT engineering and design organization with headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. Founded on the principles of efficient design and customer empowerment, the organization has helped their customers achieve high levels of cost control, risk management, and maintainability. A related business entity provides a full suite of professional services that include project management and staff augmentation for large-scale data center and platform migrations, as well as design and implementation of high performance web delivery and business application clusters. Linux and other open source technologies are used as the primary vehicles for delivering cost-efficient enterprise solutions that include strategic alliances with industry leading hardware and software manufacturers.

CHILI U.S.A., in its joint venture with CHILI GmbH, provides support of turn-key healthcare appliances and diagnostic workstations powered by CHILI PACS software. The Linux-based appliances form building blocks with which system architects and radiology service providers can adapt their PACS infrastructure and workflow processes efficiently and comprehensively. Built on the CHILI PACS platform, the appliances are modular in nature and are field upgradeable. An integrated "phone home" feature creates a secure link between each appliance and central support services. This link is used for remote monitoring, diagnostics and a managed product update service.

Among the product offerings are appliances optimized for PACS routing, wide area distribution and secure third-party access. CHILI workstations are available in models appropriate for all types of diagnostic imaging. The product line includes low-cost Linux-based clinical workstations as well as high-end diagnostic workstations with up to four 5MP DICOM calibrated displays. CHILI workstations support all major operating systems including Linux, Windows, and OSX.

Workflow programs include a variety of radiology information systems, or RIS, are integrated with electronic record systems and financial systems tailored to each client's needs.

Direct sales and implementation services for CHILI U.S.A. products are accomplished through a distributed partner network.
