China's Shanxi Province to Expand Wind Power Capacity, an Industrial Info News Alert

BEIJING--(Marketwire - Jun 1, 2011) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China) -- Central China's Shanxi province plans to expand its installed wind power capacity to 12 gigawatts (GW) in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan (2011-15). Wind power will account for one-third of the total electric power capacity to be added in the province. Most of the windfarms will be distributed in areas rich in wind energy resources such as Datong and Shuozhou, according to Shanxi Electric Power Company (Taiyuan, Shanxi), a regional subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China (Beijing).
