She received her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University in 2006, her Ph.D. in biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2001, her M.S. from Oklahoma State University in 1995, and her B.S., highest distinction, from Fudan University (Shanghai, China) in 1990.
