Community Members Dance and Sing to Raise Funds for CHOC Children's

COSTA MESA, CA--(Marketwire - March 14, 2011) - Nearly 100 of Orange County's business, civic and society leaders will perform during CHOC Follies XIV: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Follies, a charity musical event benefiting CHOC Children's, from March 31 - April 2, 2011, at the Robert B. Moore Theatre on the Orange Coast College Campus.

Proceeds from this year's Follies will support a Radiology waiting room, which will occupy over 1,000 square feet of space in CHOC Children's new patient care tower set to open in 2013. Since its inception in 1998, the Follies have raised more than $5 million for CHOC.

"What began as a simple idea to attract new supporters to the hospital has developed over the past 13 years into one of Orange County's most anticipated and successful charity events," said Founder and Executive Producer Gloria Zigner.

Follies Co-Chair Sandy Segerstrom Daniels, a Managing Partner of C.J. Segerstrom & Sons, says "Leslie Cancellieri, Dale Skiles and I are thrilled to be co-chairing together again, and we all agree that this is going to be one of the best CHOC Follies ever."

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Follies will run March 31, April 1 and April 2, 2011 at 8:00 p.m., and April 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Robert B. Moore Theatre, located at 2701 Fairview Road in Costa Mesa. Tickets are $35 - $125. For more information, please visit www.chocfollies.org or call 714-532-8690.
