Chordiant Enhances Marketing Director Application

Leading Provider of Customer Experience (Cx) Solutions Adds Microsoft .NET Capabilities to Marketing Solution

CUPERTINO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 13, 2006 -- Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD), the leading provider of Customer Experience (Cx™) software and services, today announced that it has added significant enhancements to its Marketing Director application, including support for the Microsoft .NET platform. Chordiant can now take advantage of Microsoft's new language-independent programming model -- cutting the time and cost of system development. In addition, .NET support gives Chordiant more flexibility to create future enhancements for Marketing Director, supporting its vision of continuously improving the customer experience.

Marketing Director is an enterprise class campaign management application designed to automate and streamline the processes required to plan, define, execute and analyze sophisticated multi-channel, multi-stage marketing campaigns. The product's flexible platform powers marketing campaigns across traditional channels, including SMS, email, direct mail, telesales and statement inserts, as well as print or broadcast advertising. Through the flexible .NET framework, Chordiant will now be able to accelerate development of the Marketing Director Suite, which will allow the company to bring enhancements to market sooner, especially those requiring integrations with heterogeneous applications. Additionally, the .NET-enabled Chordiant Marketing Director provides the ability to quickly build, deploy, manage and use connected, security-enhanced marketing solutions with web services.

"We continually seek new ways to bring added value to our customers," said Owen Farmer, Chordiant's Product Manager for Marketing Solutions. "We are pleased to join forces with Microsoft to give our customers greater agility and efficiency in deploying innovative marketing solutions."

Additional enhancements to Chordiant Marketing Director that are designed to deliver a better customer experience include:

-- Integration with Chordiant Decision Management -- Improves the
    customer experience by enabling organizations to merge outbound and inbound
    marketing activities using "just in time" decisions. Provides opportunities
    for closed-loop marketing, consistent messaging across channels, and adding
    guided intelligence to all phases of the customer lifecycle;
-- Campaign Migration -- Allows users to seamlessly migrate campaigns and
    other objects from one environment to another, delivering significant
    reductions in time-to-production;
-- SMS and MMS Delivery Management -- Results in increased SMS delivery
    rates and granular control of delivery times to ensure adherence to
    specified sending times for certain types of campaigns.
"We are pleased with Chordiant's commitment to the Microsoft platform by adopting .NET for its dynamic marketing application," said Greg Haislip, managing director, U.S. Banking Industry, Microsoft. "Just as Microsoft believes in empowering employees with tools that drive business success, Chordiant's dedication to innovation and support for our flexible programming model will help empower employees with greater insight, and ultimately benefit our mutual global customers."
